Zinfra now servicing entire AusNet Services Distribution Network in Victoria

We’re proud to announce that Zinfra has officially commenced its role as the new delivery partner for Operations and Maintenance Services on AusNet’s electricity distribution network, as of Friday 1 August 2025.

This milestone marks the beginning of a new chapter in our long-standing partnership with AusNet, under the Distribution Operations and Maintenance Services Agreement (DOMSA), two-year contract with options for two one-year extensions.

To support this expanded scope, we’ve welcomed 508 new employees into Zinfra, including:

  • 415 in trade and field roles

  • 93 in depot-based positions

These team members will help deliver services across AusNet’s distribution network, which spans 89,000 square kilometres of Victoria’s east and northeast regions, as well as Melbourne’s northern and eastern suburbs. This includes urban, semi-rural, and regional locations, many of which are alpine, farming, or bushfire-prone.

James Quigley, General Manager of One Distribution and Growth, says the new partnership builds on a strong foundation.

“Zinfra is already delivering for the AusNet network through our Transmission Operations & Maintenance Agreement (TOMSA), which was recently extended for another three years following a successful five-year term,” said Mr Quigley.

The DOMSA contract reflects AusNet’s evolving service delivery model, with a focus on improving outcomes for customers, especially during severe weather events.

“Our focus on delivering for the communities we live and work in mirrors AusNet’s own commitment to meeting customers’ changing needs,” Mr Quigley added. “We are working closely with AusNet to ensure a smooth transition and continued excellence in service.”

As Australia’s largest outsourced service delivery partner in the electricity distribution and transmission sector, Zinfra is proud to continue powering communities across Victoria.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands upon which we operate and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
